Seeds of Strength
MEL Mentoring for Organisations
A four-month mentoring programme designed to support organisations to develop a clear, coherent and usable programme architecture and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework.
Participants work directly on a real programme from their organisation while receiving structured guidance, mentoring support and peer learning.
Programme overview
Programme length: 4 months
Sessions: 8 facilitated sessions
Session format: 4 individual mentoring sessions and 4 group learning sessions
Learning time: Approximately 4 to 6 hours per month
Learning approach: Applied learning using a real organisational programme
Resources: Access to the Fundamental LMS with tutorials, templates and tools
Learning environment: Supportive peer learning network
Outcomes
By the end of the programme, participating organisations will have:
- Greater clarity on programme purpose and design
- A complete MEL framework for one programme
- A Theory of Change (diagram and narrative)
- A logic model with indicators
- A practical data collection plan
- Strengthened MEL capacity within their team

Programme overview

Sessions: 8 facilitated sessions
Session format: Individual and group mentoring sessions
Learning time: Approximately 4 to 6 hours per month
Learning approach: Applied learning using a realistic case-study organisation
Resources: Access to the Fundamental LMS with tutorials, templates and tools
Learning environment: Facilitated and supportive peer learning journey
Outcomes
Participants will gain:
- Increased conceptual clarity around programme design and MEL
- Practical experience developing a complete MEL framework
- A programme description
- A Theory of Change (diagram and narrative)
- A logic model with indicators
- A data collection plan
- Greater confidence applying MEL concepts in professional contexts
